Selling Roman Shades

POSITIVES

Woven Wood shades are made of NATURAL materials, such as bamboo, jute, grass, water reeds and paper. Bamboo is a type of grass and one of the fastest growing plants on earth. While wood can take 20 years to be ready to harvest, bamboo is ready to be harvested within 4 years, making its use sustainable. It also grows naturally without the use of pesticides or herbicides.

Most woven wood products are quite open and they make great SUN SCREEN materials. Their best application is where they can be used to filter direct sunlight, reduce UV rays and create soft, warm light in a room. Liners can be added to give privacy or light blocking.

Woven wood roman shades have a NARROW HEADRAIL (1 ½" or an optional 1" width), which makes them great for inside mount applications, where the homeowner does not have a lot of depth in the windows. They are also very easy to install.

Woven wood shades come in all different types, so customers can match their roman shades with DRAPERIES or SLIDING PANELS for larger windows or sliders and with ROLLER SHADES for a contemporary look in rooms where privacy is not a requirement.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Bamboo and Natural Materials have a RUSTIC look that does not suit all decors. Because the material is natural, it can have variations and imperfections and color differences. Bamboo will also fade over time and can show some cracking and warping. This is considered normal and acceptable.

Bamboo patterns can be HEAVY, especially if standard cord locks are used.
Large shades with liners can weigh over 20lbs, depending on the pattern.

Many bamboo patterns are very open and do not offer much PRIVACY without liners.
