LINERS

Liners can be Light Filtering (Privacy) or Room Darkening (Black Out). Privacy Liners are usually the same color on both sides and are Poly/Cotton blends or 100% Polyester.

Black Out Liners are coated with an acrylic backing (usually white) to block more light.

The light color side of the black out liners will be made to face the street, although customers can ask to have the liner reversed to have the dark side facing out.

Liners are attached to the back of the shade with stitches down each side of the liner.
No glue or tape is used in attaching the liners.

SHADES WITH MOVABLE LINERS

Privacy vs. Black-Out Liners

Shades with movable liners (also called twin shades) have two shades on one head rail. Both shades can be operated independently with separate controls.

This allows the customer to have privacy or room darkening when they want it, but to enjoy the light through their bamboo shade during the day.
